Chris MacMillan, Recruitment Specialist

Chris’ auto industry experience includes over nineteen years of experience working in all aspects of auto dealership parts and service operations in both domestic and import dealerships. Joining AutoRecruit's founder, B+L Consultants in 1998 as a fixed operations recruiter and consultant, Chris successfully earned a partnership in the company when it became AutoRecruit Inc. in 1999.

Now in his eighth year of recruitment, Chris has become one of Canada’s most knowledgeable and productive recruiters focusing in the auto industry. His years of experience working in the retail auto industry and eight years of recruitment experience has resulted in the successful completion of over two hundred and fifty placements and has generated over one million dollars in recruitment and consulting revenue for AutoRecruit Inc.

Chris’ qualifications include certification as a “Registered Professional Recruiter" and five consecutive years of membership in the Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada, in addition, as a member of the Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services, (ACCESS), Chris is currently pursuing the “Certified Personnel Consultant” designation.

Steve Bell, Recruitment Specialist

A seasoned veteran of the retail auto industry, Steve enjoyed a twenty five year career in the retail auto industry prior to joining AutoRecruit in 2004. A strong passion for the auto industry attracted Steve to join the business as a technician with a Toronto area Volkswagen dealership in the 70’s, later becoming a sales person Steve achieved the Volkswagen “Sales Guild Master Award” for five consecutive years.

In the 80’s Steve joined Bob Johnston Chevrolet, a Scarborough area General Motors dealer spending many years as their sales manager where under his guidance vehicle sales and gross profit increased annually. In 2000 Steve joined the staff of a prominent Scarborough
General Motors dealer as their Sales Manager. At this high volume, high profile dealership, Steve was responsible for the hiring and training of a sales staff of up to twelve members and overseeing annual sales of well over 1000 vehicles.

We were fortunate to have Steve join our staff in the Fall of 2004. Steve’s extensive contacts across the industry have proven invaluable to business development and to the successful fulfillment of numerous recruitment searches. Steve views the opportunity to join AutoRecruit as a chance to use his extensive experience gained in his career to help AutoRecruit clients ensure they have the best staff available and assist our candidate base in developing their careers within the auto industry.

Michelle Nolan, Recruitment Specialist

Michelle joins AutoRecruit from the world of Saturn SAAB. She began her career in the automotive industry as a sales consultant with a GTA Saturn SAAB dealer where her excellent customer skills and dedication resulted in many letters of thanks from customers that were genuinely impressed with their buying experience. After her success in sales, Michelle took an opportunity to gain experience in the service department as a service advisor where her passion for customer service could be utilized.

In 2004 Michelle moved to the GTA’s highest volume Saturn SAAB dealers and as a result of her excellent work in 2006, Michelle was ranked in the top 5 service consultants in Canada after competing in the Saturn Service Consultant Walk-Around Challenge.

Prior to working in the auto industry, Michelle enjoyed a career working in the Canadian music industry for over 10 years. Working for some of the largest music distributors in Canada, Michelle was involved in management and supervisory positions where she led operations of up to 15 staff members and annual sales of over 2 million dollars. In addition, Michelle co-created a best practices manual for all Canadian Operations which included store policies & procedures and customer service guidelines and training procedures.

Michelle is currently completing her Human Resources Management certificate at Ryerson University and working toward the CHRP designation and sees the opportunity to join AutoRecruit as a chance to use her substantial experience to assist our clients in finding and hiring the best staff available and assist our candidate base in developing their careers within the auto industry.
